Testing
Twenty sites were selected for monitoring by the BCWP based upon the original watershed delineation. With re-delineation of November 2008, the Rogers Ditch subwatershed was added to the Busseron. An additional two sites were added for ongoing monitoring in the Rogers Ditch area.
Results

Parameters
For the first 12 months, each of the original 20 sites will be sampled on a monthly basis. After that time, each site will be sampled on a quarterly basis. Parameters tested include:
- Flow / Volume
- Temperature
- E. coli
- Turbidity
- pH
- Dissolved Oxygen
- Specific Conductance
- Total Dissolved Solids
- Total Suspended Solids
- Total Phosphorus (P)
- Nitrate - Nitrite (NO2 - NO3)
- Ammonia (NH3)
- Aluminum - Total & Dissolved (Al) quarterly
- Copper - Total & Dissolved (Cu) quarterly
- Iron - Total & Dissolved (Fe) quarterly
- Manganese - Total & Dissolved (Mn) quarterly
Sample Locations
Sample locations were selected based upon:
- Previous sample sites, including TMDL and DNR - Department of Reclamation sites
- To "isolate" tributaries to the Busseron
- Ready and public access
